In Jessika’s first year at Lewis & Clark College, she created Pioneers with Purpose leadership retreat, which engaged students of color and first-generation college students. As a co-planner of this retreat, I was awed by Jessika’s creativity in weaving together curricular elements into a thoughtful, intuitive flow that led to excellent results for the students and the institution.
